TATCHA The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream 💜

TATCHA has done it again!

I have spent the last month using the Melting Eye Cream day and night, and I am ready to share my thoughts. đŸ§–đŸœâ€â™€ïž

What is it?

An eye cream that fights the signs of aging and melts to release a double shield of hydration with liquid silk and moisture-locking Japanese white peony for instantly youthful-looking, radiant eyes.

(description from Sephora.com)

What's in it?

Silk Extract: Provides a protective veil of hydration like a second skin without weighing it down, revealing a smooth, lustrous glow.

Japanese White Peony Extract: Helps strengthen the skin barrier function, providing a “seal” that enables the skin around the eye area to retain moisture for reduced dryness and sensitivity.

Hadasei-3 Complex: Tatcha's proprietary trio of anti-aging superfoods detoxify and help reduce premature signs of aging, skin water retention, and nurture skin.

How was it?

After using this eye cream for an entire month, yes 4 weeks night and day, with and without makeup I am ready to share all I have experienced.

Let's start with the packaging.

Hard for the beautiful Japanese white peony to go unnoticed. It is featured in the lid, a soft classy touch and I enjoy seeing it every time I reach for the bottle. The packaging is Tatcha's classic sturdy plastic with a twist off lid. You do get 0.5 oz/ 15 mL of product. Retails for $60.00 This product is cruelty-free and gluten-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.

Daily use was easy. I use a very small amount apply with my ring finger and it quickly blends away. With every use I found my under eye to feel and look hydrated. It felt comfortable and very light weight. What actually surprised me most was that I loved the beautiful glow it gives. Nothing over the top, just a healthy natural glow. Absolutely beautiful.

The texture is like a very light moisturizer yet it's creamy at the same time (Trying my best to describe texture, I think I did ok đŸ€·đŸœâ€â™€ïž)

It says to be a melting eye cream and that it is.

The claim of it fighting the signs of aging, well to an extent I agree because of the nice hydration factors but for fine lines not so much. It may help them look smoother and "nicer" but I honestly don't see this being a magic product that fixes and cures all lines and wrinkles.

There is a mention of antioxidants to help protect against signs of future damage is something I found very interesting. I like preventative measures with my skincare. So I am hoping with continued use that all those beautiful antioxidants are beneficial.

It works well on no makeup days leaving the under eye fresh and hydrated.

Most always I use a color corrector and concealer and every time without fail I felt like it made me have better makeup days. Products just glide over and wear so well with it. I do feel it helps products last a little bit longer as well.

I have one complaint!

When I received my Sephora order and opened up the Tatcha box I noticed they did NOT included a spatula. Yeah I know, can you believe it?

I was very surprised because all other eye creams in and around this price range come with some sort of tool, eye roller, spatula, something.

Thankfully I have plenty from other products I can use but I hope in the future they include one.

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I see myself using this eye cream for a very long time. It has been keeping my under eyes very happy, hydrated and glowing.
